Monitoring Services |

Monitoring Windows services & the status of those services is often the first
step to ensuring systems & software functions are working. If any of these fail,
or are stopped inadvertently, critical systems such as databases, e-mail or even
Windows itself can be affected.
|

Service monitoring is easy with Sentry-go. The Sentry-go Service monitor
plugs into the Sentry-go
Monitoring System, either as part of a Quick Monitor or as an individual
Sentry-go Plus! monitoring component and allows you to monitor the status of Windows
services processes running on the local server. If any should stop or fail, they can be
restarted automatically to ensure key software & operations are up and running
as soon as possible.
Alerts can also be raised as appropriate to warn you of failures or where
further investigation is required. Automatic detection of "auto-start" services
also allows any important installed services to be monitored without the need
for reconfiguration.
