The Sentry-go Plus! Performance monitor allows you to monitor the performance
of both software & hardware on your server. Any available Windows performance
counter can be defined and monitored. If returned values are outside expected
limits, automatic action can be taken and/or alerts can be raised.

In a proactively monitored environment, performance information is extremely
useful in determining the health of the local machine and the software it is
being asked to run.

In many cases, manually monitoring server performance effectively is not
possible, especially if you have more than a couple of servers to look after or
other tasks to perform.
However, by keeping an eye on this information, you can be alerted to issues
long before they become problems for the end user, customers or external
systems.
The Sentry-go Plus! Performance Monitor allows any performance indicator
installed on the local server can be checked
automatically.
If the desired threshold is exceeded, an automatic response can
be taken, or the System Administrator(s) informed as required. |

The Performance Optimiser
is a facility provided with the Performance monitoring component. With it you
can keep track of your server's performance over longer periods of time. This
information can then be used to set both baseline & monitoring thresholds.
Performance information can also be logged &
graphed, allowing trend analysis to be
performed on key aspects of your server.
