Monitoring Performance |

Monitoring the performance of systems and the applications that run on them can
be extremely
useful in determining the health of your IT solutions. Many performance problems appear
as warnings long before users or systems are affected, giving you time to plan
and resolve them.

|
Performance monitoring is easy with Sentry-go. The Sentry-go Plus! Performance monitor is a
monitoring component that plugs into the Sentry-go
Monitoring System, either as part of a Quick Monitor or as an individual
Sentry-go Plus! monitoring component. It allows you to monitor the performance of both
software & hardware on your server. Any available Windows performance counter
can be defined and monitored. If returned values are outside expected limits,
automatic action can be taken and/or alerts can be raised.
In addition, the Performance
Optimiser enables you to periodically record sample
performance values. This in turn allows data to be gathered over a given period
of time & highlights the lowest & highest values recorded against current
monitoring threshold as well as trend abalysis & graphing etc.
