Sentry-go Plus! is made up of a number of dedicated components, each responsible
for an aspect of the monitor. This provides the framework on which the
monitoring building-blocks - the components that perform the checks are built.

The Sentry-go Plus! Monitoring Service |
|
This is the core
installable service, providing the framework for all monitoring & other
components. The service runs locally, thus keeping network overhead to a
minimum.

Automatic Response & Alerting (included free) |
|
When monitored faults are detected, this component will either take a defined
action automatically in response, or determine how you should be alerted to the
failure - e.g. based on configured methods and the current day/time etc. Other
options include the logging of errors to a file or database.

Web Reporting (included free) |
|
Sentry-go Plus! contains an integrated web server built-in, allowing reports to
be generated & displayed on your web browser with ease. Reports are generated
directly from the other components; primary reports can also be published to an
external web server as required.

Standard web reports include recent alerts, current status & current
activity. ent status & current activity.
Other reports, which are dependent on the monitoring components give you the
ability to access more detailed information & even control aspects of the server
directly - e.g. accessing print queues, SQL Server transactions, Services & IIf
required, the web server can also be disabled if not required.

Console Integration (included free) |

Sentry-go Plus! integrates fully with a PC client application known as the
Client Console.
It can be installed on your desktop PCs & allows monitors to be registered &
accessed, alerts to be shown in near real-time, web reports to be accessed and
configured, both locally and remotely.

Monitoring Components |

At the heart of Sentry-go Plus! are the monitoring components, the components
that perform the checks and subsequently determine whether those checks have
passed or failed. With Sentry-go Plus! these are plug and play options, allowing
you to run (and purchase) only the components to need. Once a fault has been
detected, details are logged and other components notified so that further
action can be taken.
Components can be purchased individually or in "packages" to cover popular
server environments such as SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange, IIS, Print Servers
etc.
