Monitoring files & directories on your servers not only ensures your file system is healthy, it also allows you to monitor file sizes and counts as well as be informed of changes being made. This can be extremely important, for example for security, auditing or purely business reasons.

File monitoring is easy with Sentry-go. The Sentry-go File monitor is a monitoring component that plugs into the Sentry-go Monitoring System and allows you to monitor both groups or individual files on your file system as well as changes made to directories.

Files added to, updated in or deleted from a directory can all be monitored as can file sizes and counts. Optionally, user details can also be captured giving you details of who accessed the file/directory and when. If checks fail or are outside expected limits, automatic action can be taken and/or alerts can be raised.

Monitor changes to files/directories within a given timeframe.
Monitor accesses to files/directories.
Capture details on who accessed a file or directory when an alert is triggered.

View information from your web browser.
Configure monitoring either locally or remotely using the Sentry-go Client Console.
