The Sentry-go Plus! E-mail Send/Receive monitor allows you to periodically check
that your entire e-mail operation, including ISP & external links are working by
verifying that e-mails can be both sent and received. Using SMTP, POP3 & IMAP4,
if the e-mail cannot be delivered within a given timeframe, automatic action can
be taken to restart services and/or alerts can be raised.
Facts & Features
E-mail is, today, one of the most important communication methods both within
and between organisations.
Although everything may individually appear to be
running fine, the best way of checking users can send and receive e-mail is to
try and send one and verify that it arrives.
This would implicitly check that all parts of the
system are functioning correctly including the underlying network and any
3rd party providers or ISPs.
The Sentry-go Plus! E-mail monitor periodically checks e-mail Send/Receive
availability by sending an e-mail and verify it's delivery within
a given timeframe to one or more e-mail addresses.
If the message can't be sent,
or doesn't arrive in the specified mailbox within the given time, you'll be
notified immediately.
