Sentry-go Monitoring Components |
|
|
|
|

|
The Sentry-go Monitoring
System provides it's monitoring
functionality through one or more components which are installed into it's
framework.
With Sentry-go Quick Monitors,
these components are built-in - though you can expand them by including
additional Plus! components. With Sentry-go Plus!, you're free to add a single,
or any combination of components you like.
Components are easily added
by entering the appropriate licence keys into the Client Console's Licence Manager. The same Console
allows you to centrally manage & configure each component, either
locally on the server or remotely from your desktop.
As your server grows or changes, so
can Sentry-go - just plug & play additional components or
transfer them to another server.
It really is as simple as that!

|
Choosing Monitoring Components |
If your server's running a dedicated environment, you can quickly & easily
be up and running using one of our Quick Monitor solutions. These come
pre-configured & mean you can be monitoring in a matter of minutes.
Alternatively, you can combine any number of the following Sentry-go Plus!
components, allowing you to tailor the solution to meet your exact needs.

|
|
Adding or Transferring Monitoring Components |
Using Plus! components, you activate your required monitoring options when
they're installed. As your environment grows or changes, you may find you wish to
move these components to another server or maybe add monitoring to your existing
solution. For example, if you subsequently install SQL Server on your machine &
wish to monitor locks, log files or database connections etc.
Individual Plus! licences, or the entire Quick Monitor licence can be assigned or transferred using the
Sentry-go Client Console at any time, allowing your monitoring
solution to evolve along with your environment. You can ...
-
Add new licences to an existing Quick Monitor installation to expand its monitoring
capabilities.
-
Add new licences to other Sentry-go Plus! components, to expand your tailored
monitoring solution.
-
Remove a licence so it can be used on another server.
